it is a great honor for me to address you today and to present the bid of sochi to host the olympic winter games in 2014.

the bid has enthusiastic support of the whole of russia.

we pledge to make the stay of olympians and paralimpians, spectators, journalists, guests in sochi a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience.

sochi is a unique place. on the seashore you can enjoy a fine spring day. but up in the mountains it’s winter.

i went skiing there six or seven weeks ago, and i know – real snow’s guaranteed.

the ancient greeks lived around sochi. i also saw the rock near sochi to which as legend has it prometheus was chained. it was prometheus who gave people fire, fire which ultimately is the olympic flame.

ladies and gentlemen!

the city of sochi has exclusive offers: we are working on a list of special privileges for participants and guests of the games.

for example we plan to lift all restrictions on the minimum stay for delegations. this will be backed up by a special law.

(i have already signed a decree to this effect).

and one more special privilege:

no traffic jams! i promise!

the recent world ice hockey championship in moscow was a big success.

russia is ready to host winter olympic and paralympic games in 2014. the olympic family is going to feel at home in sochi.

millions of citizens of russia are united by the olympic dream. winter sports are very popular in russia. our athletes have scored many victories and have made major contributions to the olympic movement.

but we have not yet had the honor to celebrate the winter olympics.

our national pledge to you is: the choice of sochi is the best choice.

but whatever decision you make sochi’s olympic bid has already brought its benefits.

the olympic cluster in sochi will be the first world class mountain sports centre in the new russia. let me point out that after the break-up of the soviet union russia has lost all sports venues in the mountains. would you believe it?

even today our national teams have no mountain venues in russia for training.

the state-of-the-art sochi sports center is our present to all athletes – olympians and would-be olympians, to citizens of russia and guests from abroad.

who was the most well-known figure in china last month? it‘s ma jiajue—the college student who murdered 4 of his roommates. many people attributed his crime to his poverty and deficient education. in my opinion, his crime also has much to do with his classmates‘ indifference.

indifference is a terrible disease in today‘s colleges and the whole society. it‘s not rare that two students who have studied together for 4 years have never spoken to each other. it‘s not rare that a student who has been absent from class for several days is not noticed at all. it‘s also not rare that a student who has severe psychological problems is not cared about at all.

some people may say ?what the students with psychological problems like ma jiajue need is not care but psychotherapy.‖ however, when people are ill, what they need most is not only medical treatment, but also care from people around them. every smile and every caring word will bring sunshine to their life.

good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!

today i’d like to share my personal experience of happiness and bitterness of being an english teacher.

i remember, five years ago, when i stood at the teacher’s desk for the first time, maybe because i was too young, maybe because i was too inexperienced, the students in my class paid no attention to me, didn’t behave themselves at all. i felt ashamed and helpless. in order to save my face, i just criticized the students seriously whenever they talked in class or even moved a little. i thought sooner or later, they would listen to me. yes, i could control the class now, but the students and the atmosphere became strange. no, they were not listening to me. it was too quiet. the breathless silence urged me to consider the way i was teaching.

then 1 august 2003, i got the chance to study the new course of english. until then could i realized that it was my frozen eyes that make the students flinch, it was my stiff face that trod out the enthusiasm in the children’s hearts. how to stimulate my class and show my warmth, so that they can enjoy their study in english? i had a deep thought.

it’s smile. there is a kindness called smile. it is the most beautiful language in the world. it can make distance no distance. “just awake the students with a smiling face!”i said to myself.

the next day, when i stood on the stage with a smiling face, when i asked the questions with a smile, when i encouraged the children in a friendly way, the students were just shocked! but i could find there was more happiness and excitement in their eyes! gradually,

they got used to it, and participated in my teaching. as i predicted, that class became a lovely one. i was moved, and said“thank you for listening, boys and girls!”

in the following days, i keep on working even harder. i prepare my lessons carefully. i use flash, pictures, riddles, and interesting stories to make great efforts to help the students to learn more. but i will never forget one thing: smile, give them a smile, to give them strength, to let them feel happy, to make them confident. the children do enjoy the english lesson now, when they tell me the answers in great excitement, i can feel their gladness, and my smile is more sincerely than ever!

there is kindness called smile. from the children’s yearning eyes, i understand, it is smile that makes my students and i get closer, it is smile that fills the kindness to my english class, it is smile that shapes me popular english teacher finally.

我看到了花样滑冰运动员们在舞台上完成高难度的动作，就像是精灵般的舞者;我看到了中国短道速滑选手武大靖不负众望，为中国拿到第一枚金牌的同时也打破了世界记录.“宝剑锋从磨砺出,梅花香自苦寒来”相信只有运动员的夜以继日、专心致志的训练与付出，才能为我们的祖国争得荣誉.我也要像他们一样！

众所周知，熊猫是我国的国宝。可是，你知道这只熊猫吗？它就是我国2022年冬奥会的一只吉祥物冰墩墩。
说了你可能不信，它最初的原型竟然是冰糖葫芦！这是由于在吉祥物评审的过程中，冰糖葫芦的创意作品入围了前十，它就是冰墩墩最初的创意来源。后来，设计团队经历了长达半年多的修改，才改成冰墩墩。可以说，如果没有最初冰糖葫芦的创意作品，就没有现在的冰墩墩。
说完了它的`来历，就说说我对它的理解吧！
一开始，我认为它是冬残奥会的吉祥物。因为我认为冰的意思是坚强；
墩墩的意思是健康，是鼓励残疾运动员的。后来却发现我乌龙了。冰的意思其实是象征着纯洁、坚强，是冬奥会的特点；
墩墩，其实是意喻着敦厚、健康、活泼、可爱，象征着冬奥会运动员强壮的身体、坚韧的意志和鼓舞人心的奥林匹克精神。其次，我发现它有冰雪一样的外壳，外形特征与冬奥会的特点很相符，展示了冬奥会的特点，我认为让它做冬奥会吉祥物的选择真的不错。
看，一个普普通通的名字背后居然有一个故事，是不是很神奇？其实，这种现象很常见呀！比如，雪容融和福娃的.名字背后也都有一个故事。亲爱的朋友，下次我再说给你们听吧！

在一个阳光明媚的早晨，我正在家里认真地做作业，突然，北京冬奥会吉祥物冰墩墩和雪容融飞到了我的身边，说：走！我们带你去看冬奥会！太好啦！我丢下作业，跟着他们一路向北飞到了北京。

到了冬奥会的现场，我简直惊呆了，太壮观啦！环顾四周，观众席上人山人海，座无虚席。这时冰墩墩说：我们一起来参加冰球比赛吧。我和雪容融开心地说：好啊！雪容融说：那我们快去换比赛服吧！我说：好的，马上就来。我们的比赛对手是中国的`老朋友俄罗斯队，我们相互认识后比赛开始了。一声哨响，冰墩墩先发球，他把冰球传给了雪容融，突然，俄罗斯队来干扰，幸好雪容融接得及时，把冰球传给了我，我再用力一拨，终于把冰球推进了球门。我们队赢了，大家欢呼雀跃。正当我高兴地时候，耳边传来妈妈的催促声：快起床啦，要迟到了。我睁开眼一看，原来这是一场梦啊！

尊敬的教师，亲爱的同学们：
顾名思义，“冬奥会”就是冬天举办的奥运会，那自然都是能看到一些冰雪运动的，比如说冰球、冰壶、滑雪、滑冰・・・・・・种类繁多，我就说一下我看了冰壶比赛后的感想。和所得到的启发。
我想，冰壶中较难的因该就是投壶了，要是力度没控制好，角度没掌握好，那么将会输掉整场比赛，真是十分困难。不过我十分敬佩投壶的选手们的精神。在这种情况下，选手们，还得努力投好壶，尽量投出决定性的球，投出两分的成绩，才能让自己的队占上上风。
投壶固然重要，但没有擦冰的人，球也不会很理想的到达指定区域。在刷子刷了之后，球为什么可以滑得更远呢？因为场地上撒了一些小颗粒，在刷子的摩擦之后，就会变成水，光滑的壶面在有水的冰面上就能滑得更快啦！所以说，擦冰人是个球的导航仪，呵呵！
队长负责战略，俗话说“动手动脑”嘛！打球也是这样的，要有战略，所以队长是个文武之人，既会投壶，又有战略。厉害呀！
投壶还要有始有终，要是前七个球都打好了，对方最后一个球却让我方前功尽弃，所以说，不到最后，谁都不要放弃，就是这样。
最后，我说下自己的感想，人生就像冰球赛场，要是差了分毫的距离，就会失去许多的东西，所以我们要从小打好基础，长大才会大有作为。毕竟，“罗马不是一天建成的”嘛。
